SPOTLIGHT ON JOSEPH SCHOOLING

PRIDE & JOY at ACS (Junior)!

Sensational SchoolingDespite the glitz and glamour of a hero’s reception when he returned to Singapore, Joseph made the time and effort to reach out to the ACS community. On 16 August, he visited his alma mater, ACS (Junior) where he met his former teachers and shared his personal journey with more than excited 1,600 students and members of the ACS family of schools. Exuding quiet confidence and candour, he was candid about the challenges he faced and how resilience is the key to success in everything we do. Below are the pictorial highlights of Joseph’s visit to ACS (Junior).

From the meet-up with Schooling, I learnt that you cannot give up in your pursuit of your dreams. You must strive hard to achieve. I learnt that he faced many challenges and failed at times, like when he completed only twenty of the thirty 100 fly on 2-minutes sets. Though he had failed for those sets, he picked himself up and strived harder to get to where he is today.”

Going for the talk was truly inspirational. I’ve learnt that success is
a result of consistent hard work and determination. In the face of
setbacks, I must understand my goal, what it stands for and what it
takes to achieve it. Joseph treating us as brothers and taking the
time to meet us shows us his loyalty and pride he has in being an
ACSian. I want to be every bit of the ACSian that Joseph Schooling is
.”
