Without any doubt, the recent inaugural Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) was a huge success, given the short lead time to organise a mega international event of such scale. Kudos to Singapore for the superb planning and execution of the event!

And kudos also to the ACS family of schools for its multifarious involvement in the YOG – from participation in the Olympic Torch Relay, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and at the sports competition itself, to dance performances and contributions of art pieces for the Singapore 2010 Friendship Fabric and the Olympic Walk.

The ACS Olympians Mural

The ACS Olympians Mural was officially unveiled by nine ACS Olympians on 13 August to coincide with the event to welcome the 2010 Australian Youth Olympic Games team.

The atmosphere was electrifying as the boys got to meet and mingle with the Australian athletes, many of whom were larger than life. The event concluded with an entertaining Japanese dance performed by ACJC students.
