Our Hearts, Our Hope, Our Aims are One ....

…. this was the spirit that permeated through the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 01 March 2005, when 8,500 students from the six ACS schools gathered as one big family to commemorate the school’s 119th Founder’s Day.

>> Responding to the traditional
"Warning For Parade" bugle call
performed by old boys, Peter Sim,

Ang Teng Siong & Yung Shing Jit
,
the rugby teams of the ACS
schools gave a rousing welcome
to the Guest-of-Honour,
Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam,
Minister for Education.

The Old Boy Buglers also played
the fanfare for the arrival of
the ACS Board of Governors
and later performed together
with the Combined ACS Band.

<< ACS (International), the latest
addition to the ACS family, was the
focus of attention at the combined
celebration when the entire student
population was mobilized to form a
T-Cross in the middle of the stadium
to welcome the Guest-of-Honour,
Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

>> Mr Tan Wah Thong, Chairman of
the ACS Board of Governors,
escorting the Guest-of-Honour
Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam,
Minister for Education.

Following behind are Bishop Dr
Robert Solomon, Dr Ang Peng Tiam
(President of the ACSOBA)
and the school principals.

<< The Guest-of-Honour Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, expressed his delight to be part of the celebrations and commended ACS for its ‘rich and enduring tradition’.

He affirmed the outstanding performance and achievements of the various ACS schools and expressed his confidence that ACS would continue to make its mark in Singapore and internationally, with the unstinting support of the ACSian family of alumni, teachers, students, parents and the Methodist Church.
