COMBINED NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

ONE NATION, ONE ACS!

For the first time, six schools of the ACS family gathered at the Queenstown Stadium on 8 August to celebrate National Day as ONE ACS.

This historic event was the outcome of a strategic workshop held three years ago when members of the ACS Board of Governors, the ACS Old Boys Association and the schools’ Principals and Vice-Principals agreed on the adoption of a set of core values that would bind the individual institutions as ONE ACS!

rousing welcome for the
Guest-of-Honour, RADM Lui Tuck Yew.

The Parade was a display of pomp and splendour by the 17 supporting continents of Uniformed Youth Organisations from the various ACS units.

Gracing the occasion was Guest-of-Honour, RADM Lui Tuck Yew, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, and MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC.

There was much fun and laughter as representatives from all the six ACS schools participated in land and water sport games, which were played on an inter-House basis to encourage interaction between the students.

Spectators in the gallery also found themselves cheering for their respective Houses as ONE UNITED ACS. ØØØØØØ

The eventual winners of the land and water games were Thoburn and Tan Kah Kee respectively, with Thoburn emerging as overall champions!

The strong ACS Spirit permeated throughout the entire stadium as we cheered with one voice and our hearts  beating as one.

For all those present, it was a truly memorable experience celebrating the nation's birthday as one family.
