The Pre U 2 batch of 1974 celebrated its 40th anniversary reunion with a dinner at NUS Guild House on March 8, 2014. It was attended by 95 cohort members and 10 teachers.

We were delighted to welcome those who took the time and effort to travel from USA, Australia, Taiwan, Turkey, Hong Kong and Malaysia to attend the dinner. We also posted messages from those who could not join the dinner because they were overseas.

John Ang gave an impressive yoga performance and we all marvelled at how supple his body is - at the youthful age of 58!

Egged on by co-hosts Pat Ng and Poh Lam, we all had fun guessing the identity Singing the ACS anthem of cohort members in caricatures posted on the slideshow. Many also swapped hilarious stories of pranks played on fellow students and teachers during our ACS days.

A tribute was paid to our teachers and every one of them was presented with a souvenir. There was also an appeal to donate to ACSOBA’s Teachers Fund.

We then had a group photo taken along the stairs of NUS Guild House – with the teachers seated in front.

It was a memorable night as a number of us had not met each other or our former teachers for 40 years. We ended by signing the ACS anthem and longing for the next reunion dinner – in 5 years’ time ….by God’s grace.
