The ACS Class of 1970/1972
A Jolly Good Reunion!

For the second year running, Tang Weng Fei generously opened up his home for the ACS Class of 70/72 reunion on 30 September 2016. Once again, all the 85 members of the cohort present had a jolly good time.

With name stickers to help us recognise each other after 46 years, there was much mingling and catching up over drinks and a delicious buffet spread. For the few smokers, there was an open area with a beautiful city view for them to interact. And upholding the ACS tradition, contributions were made to the ACS Retired Teachers Fund and the Class of ACS 70/72 Fund.

After dinner, we gathered for the all important group photo taking. This was followed by the singing of the school anthem and a surprise birthday celebration for birthday boy, Peter Ong, complete with a birthday cake!

As it was getting late, some started leaving but many stayed behind for more catching up and singing with Willy Tan Ting Hee at a grand piano. There was little doubt that all had a great time.

Before the year end, about 30 of us gathered again at Alibabar Alexandra on 11 December for another great time of fellowship, drinks, good food and watching Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspurs 1-0! ’s get together!

We stay in touch mainly through a WhatsApp chat group as well as a closed Facebook group. If any of the ACS 70/72 cohort wish to be included, please contact either one of the following:
