“Forever Young” was the theme of ACJC Class of ‘85’s 30th reunion on 30 May’15 because Alphaville’s hit was our unofficial anthem back in 1984 and the soundtrack of our lives.

In anticipation of the event, we created a class page on Facebook, invited old teachers, printed nametags with photos lifted from the 1985 school magazine, curated a Spotify playlist, sold alumni merchandise, and took lots of photos at our party venue, the ACJC Viewing Gallery.

There is something cool about seeing again the people we once knew in the very place where we first became friends, with exactly the same music playing in the background

No matter how many decades have passed, teachers have the enviable ability to
stay recognizable and unscathed by the passing of time. Classmates from the SC
combination with Science teachers Ms Yeo Chee Kai and Mrs Kwan Woon Hing

The Viewing Gallery with its light, space and high ceiling was perfect for
catching up with friends, many of whom we hadn’t seen since we left college		 Some classes have managed to stay close ever since ,
like the many here from AA1
