The Class of 1960's 50th Anniversary
50 Years On ... the bonds are still strong!

"Hair today, gone tomorrow!" ... happy to be reunited!

The ACS Class of 1960’s 50th Anniversary was celebrated with much joy and nostalgia at the River View Hotel on 08 October 2010.  Considering that 33 have migrated, 27 have sadly passed away and 13 were untraceable, the turnout of 70 old boys (including 6 who flew in from Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Canada) from the cohort of 174 was commendable – thanks to the fine efforts of the organising committee; the attendance would have improved by one more if not for one schoolmate getting married overseas!!

Gracing the occasion were 6 teachers - Mr Lim Choon Mong, Mr Dennis Goh Chin Chye, Mr Sng Hwa Par, Mr Wan Fook Weng, Ms Yeo Chee Kai and Mr Peter Joe Chia. Speaking on behalf of the teachers, Mr Wan urged the cohort to help keep the ACS Spirit alive.

In addition to congratulatory messages received from friends who were unable to be back for the event but were present in spirit, Chen Choong Kong from Australia and Dennis Tay from Canada also spoke on behalf of the overseas old boys.

A PowerPoint presentation of old photographs brought back many memories and laughter as the guys saw themselves in their salad days, and a tear or two from some.
