Stirred by the ACSOBA Teachers & Staff Welfare Fund article in the previous issue of the ACS Echo, ACSians have come forward to support the Fund. One came forward to present a watch to Mr V. R. Navaratnam, another offered to donate to the Fund, and yet another is approaching his classmates for donations to the Fund. Furthermore, Mr John Tan, one of the prime movers of the Class of 64’s reunion, has arranged for the net proceeds of the sale of “Forty Years On - Memoirs of a Schoolteacher” to be donated to the Fund.

ACS Barker Road Campus Clinches

                         BCA Construction Excellence Award!

The ACS Barker Road Campus recently clinched a Building & Construction Authority (BCA) Construction Excellence Award in the Institutional Buildings Category, proving that the ongoing quest for excellence in the ACS culture goes beyond the academic, sports and career arenas.

Launched in 1986 to promote and enhance construction excellence in the industry, the BCA Award gives recognition to construction firms for achieving excellence in areas of management, technology and construction quality. The main contractor for the project is China Construction (South Pacific) Development Co. Pte. Ltd.

Eric Finds Soon!

Through a message posted on the Notice Board of the last issue of the ACS ECHO, Eric Pakiry (Year of 58) has managed to locate his old schoolmate Soon Kian Khiam! We are glad we were able to assist Eric, and hope this publication will continue to help ACSians to network and keep in touch with each other.
